I believe Oleoresins are used more as flavours whereas Essential Oils are used as fragrances. Right?

An oleoresin is exuded from plant material and contains the resin and the essential oil. This can be then further processed to separate the two. A ‘prepared’ resin is an oleoresin that has had the essential oil removed. The difference is not isolated to uses in the flavor or fragrance industry.
